Day Three: Enrichment Day

Today was a very exciting day! A news crew came in from NECN to interview some of the campers about their experience and what they have learned. This will air next Tuesday at 5 o'clock. We will send you the specific information about channels when we have it. After it airs we will also send you a link to watch it online.
Linden Higgins came in today to teach us about bugs! We learned all about the differences between bugs, insects, spiders, and crustaceans. Then we got to search the HSCC campus for our own bugs. Some of the bugs that the campers found included daddy long legs, roly-polies, ants and beetles. Be sure to ask your camper all about the cool bugs that they found! To extend on our guest speaker, we made our own bug fossils and bug prints. Check out the pictures below to see an example.
As a side note, tomorrow we will be sharing pictures of our pets as a group. If you and your camper have any pets at home, please bring in a photo to share. Also, we will be going on a walk to Red Rocks Park on Friday. Please have your camper wear their red shirt to ease the group trip process. Even though we will be on a walking trip, pick up and drop off will still be at the tent.
