Today we started off by having some collage time. We worked for about half an hour and then our guest speaker for the day arrived. Garrett Levin is a veterinarian from the BEVS Animal Hospital in Williston. He taught us all about his job, some of the unsafe items for animals to eat, and how he helps animals get better. He then taught us how to bandage a wounded animal and we practiced on stuffed animals. There are some pretty great pictures below.
After this we had snack and started brainstorming in groups different jobs that involve animals. Once we had a good list of jobs, we played a game of Animal Career Charades! The kids were really into this game and had a blast talking about the jobs that they could do one day.
