Day Two: Cat Day

At check-in we started with drawing pages and a fun game. Today while some of the campers played games and made cat toy crafts, others were brought inside to hangout with some cats. The cats were Lila and Forrest. Both of whom are up for adoption-- if your family is interested in meeting these animals feel free to start coming in July 18! While we were eating a snack we worked on our collages!

Our guest speakers today were the Burlington K-9 Unit. Officer Wade Labrecque was our community partner and helped us organize for this event.  Corporal Martin and his dog Capone and Officer Boudreau and his dog Mo also came to show off their tricks and talents. This included simple tasks like sit, lay down, heel, and stay. This then ranged to more complicated tasks such as searching and tracking and protecting his or her officer. Everyone, campers, staff, and parents, enjoyed seeing the show.
